The soldier can’t stop fighting, she doesn’t know how.
Rebekah Raymond’s Life’s Series defies typical genre pigeonholes. It is by turns military dystopian, horror, action-thriller, and it even has a dark twisted romance to even out the edges.
From the introduction of the soldier, through the horrors of her captivity and it’s aftermath, Ms. Raymond has crafted a taut thrill-ride with very little space for breathing.
The unusual twist of an unnamed protagonist allowed me to connect with the soldier in a way that isn’t always accessible in action genre fiction.
The rest of this series is on my TBR, as soon as I dare read it!
